What signs do you use to rule out that your business has really failed?

The most common signs the business may not work is that when the business doesn't make any profits nor when the business is no longer pay for its operational costs.

For me, even when the business is no longer making profits, I don't rule it as a failure. I only rule it out as a failed business when demand drastically is non existent.

I think one of the major signs would be when you have probably done everything you believe needs to be done. The advertising and so on, and there is still no demand for your products.
