What to do when your cook refuse to innovate

I may have mentioned here about our small eatery business employing my niece as cook. These past few months business is really down and we could not recover our expenses. We told our cook to do some innovations like changing the menu and add other dishes which are affordable and can cater to the student. She said she wanted to stick to her menu.

Have you guys tried asking her why? Like trying to find out why she wants to just stick to that menu even when it's not working?

She said it will not be sold which is not a good attitude because she is already negative about it before even trying it first.

Oh, there should be a little bit of compromise. What about if she continues with her menu but includes a little bit of the new menu for a short period of time and watch out for the results.

That's exactly what we wanted her to do. Sometimes I could think she does not know how to cook those menu I've suggested and then I would find out she's googling or you tubing.
