According to the report, more than half a million immigrants in the U.S. are protected from deportation and are allowed to live and work in the country legally due to DACA (the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program).

However, they are still considered undocumented and don't have a path to legal status. Established in 2012 by President Obama, DACA protects those brought to the U.S. as children — but it does not grant citizenship.

The report said that over 800,000 individuals have benefited from DACA, obtaining driver’s licenses, higher education, jobs, financial independence, and more.

Despite broad public support for a pathway to citizenship, Congress has repeatedly tried and failed to reach a legislative solution, leaving DACA recipients in legal uncertainty. Frustrated by the lack of progress, some of them are now self-deporting from the U.S.

Many Americans are afraid to have kids as young adults due to not being able to get work or good-paying jobs. But yet they allowed millions of illegal immigrants to come over with their families so that the legal citizens' tax dollars support them. I have a friend who is an older illegal immigrant, his job let him go for a younger illegal immigrant, and now he can't support his family cause of no unemployment benefits.

It is never good to stay illegally in a certain country, especially the USA. Many from my country overstayed there and they are now feeling like crazy. They do not like to go back home, Maybe they want imprisonment or forced deportation. Their visas are Tourist and not working visas so they overstayed there. The law requires them to stay only three months .
