Personally, I used to be a fan of Invision Community (formally known as IPB/IPS), but nowadays I prefer Woltlab. It looks sleeker to me, even though it doesn't have as many add-ons as XenForo. Do you have a favorite premium (not free) forum software? Which one?

Actually I don't have a specific most prefer software because one way or the other they all have their speculation that you will like about it but we are much more interesting in the payment part

I have no experience with using premium software for my own communities, I have used multiple open source software, though. Based on my user experience, I think Xenforo is really nice. I am a user on a lot of forums built on Xenforo. IT has a clean interface and is easy to use.

When selecting a paid forum software, consider factors such as your community size, required features, ease of use, and budget.

The best suggestion I'd suggest is,

vBulletin:

  • Known for its robust features and customization options.
  • Offers a user-friendly interface for both administrators and users.
  • Provides advanced moderation tools and user management.

My favourite paid forum software would have to be Xenforo. I have been using Xenforo now since it was released and seeing how far it has come to this day, it is amazing to see.

I don't believe there will be another to beat Xenforo for me, at least not at the moment.

VBulletin used to be good, but I wouldn’t recommend it anymore. Xenforo has been the superior product for years now. I would use SMF over vBulletin anyday.
