When in your life did you realized the value of money?

I don't know when exactly, but I came to realize the value of money at a very young age. I even started saving to buy certain things for myself.

I realised the vAlue of money at a very early age. When I was going to school I used to get pocket money. On weekends mum would take us to the shops to buy our lunch box supplies, I noticed that everyone would also be buying candy and whatever they wanted and i was only limited to one goodie. I then started saving my pocket money. After I get one goodie during our shopping trip I would go ahead and use my pocket money to buy myself more goodies.
