Most of us have desires to pursue business. We had to take jobs because we didn't have a foothold to use and start a business. Having worked for five years already, when would be considered a right time to leave the employment scene to start a business?

There is no time considered as the right time when it comes to starting a business. I worked for 11 months and some days before I decided to start my own business. It all depends on when you feel you have all the resources and knowledge needed to start up.

It all depends on the type of business you want to get engaged. If the business is capital intensive, you need to save some save a lot of funds. But on the other side of it, if the business is not capital intensive, you can jump start it without much ado.

I understand the desire to start your own business. But it's important to be strategic about the timing. Keep building up your savings and skills in your current job. That will give you a stronger foundation when you do make the switch. The right time is when you have enough capital, a well-researched business plan, and the right support system in place.

In some countries it is important to professionally evaluate your family background and support system before leaving a good job. The rich and powerful are extremely ruthless in criminally defaming innocent hardworking professionals, investors from poorer communities.

When you keep going to work and yet the payment been received is used for only transportation one need to resign and start a business.
How are you supposed to start a business at that point when the bulk of your money is for transportation and no savings.

If you have a huge saving for capital then you may resign from your job or may apply for a vacation leave without a pay while observing the flow of your business. It's safer that way for when the business does not suit you, you can go back to your work.
