When should I resign from my job to pursue business/entrepreneurship?

Most of us have desires to pursue business. We had to take jobs because we didn't have a foothold to use and start a business. Having worked for five years already, when would be considered a right time to leave the employment scene to start a business?

For me l think that one should not make resign from their jobs anytime sooner. Instead they should wait for the business to attain it's sustainability in growth before they can think of resignation from their jobs.

It all depends on the type of business you want to get engaged. If the business is capital intensive, you need to save some save a lot of funds. But on the other side of it, if the business is not capital intensive, you can jump start it without much ado.
