Farming provides food and those that practice commercially do it as a business for profits. However, crops always have a gestation period before they start producing for the farmer to earn income.

Are the crops that produces very fast and regularly that the farmer can use as a main source of income to pay personal bills and family bills?

All crops have a particular time to bear fruits. In my state the main crops that are cultivated commercially are rice, vegetables and seasonal fruits.

I think you should be looking at growing crops that mature and are ready for sale within six weeks to sustain livelihood.

There are many types of crops that can be grown commercially, such as tea, mushrooms, oil palm, coffee, pepper, vegetables, but all types of land will depend on the weather, soil fertility, water availability, etc. In my country, there are many farmers who live more than enough or do not lack money.

Growing banana or plantain can be lucrative, since it is very easy to find buyers for bananas in most countries, even elderly people can eat bananas easily.
Bananas take at least seven months to produce. It can't be a business that one can depend on for everyday living.

Well, here in Italy the figure of the farmer who lives by selling his crops is something that has been disappearing since the post-war period. Unfortunately, everything is now in the hands of foreign multinationals that place their headquarters here in our country👎😢.
But I noted that most of you come from Nigeria, which has a climate that favors certain plantations that would otherwise not be possible in Italy.
