Blogs/sites are owned by individuals/companies, while social media belongs to other parties where we only use their space or are positioned as tenants so we do not have full control, so if there is a change in the algorithm on social media, restrictions on target reach and features or even your account is frozen then you will lose everything, very different from blogs where the owner has full control.
We must admit that social media will make a brand famous quickly even abroad but unfortunately it has a shorter marketing power compared to blogs.
