I haven't seen many terrifying movies, to be honest, but for some reason I started reading the book because I assumed it wouldn't be as scary because these events weren't shown in it, but that is unquestionably untrue. When I read a book without any people or events mentioned, I just see everything in my head, which makes it much scarier since your imagination is limitless and you can think of a lot of things that will be scarier than anything in a movie.
