For me when l am buying a smartphone for instance, l would go for the unknown brands because l can get a nice device with awesome features at very cheaper compared to the well known and famous brands for that matter.

Famous brands are noted expensive , it is simply because it got its name in the market, whereas these new brands, need evaluation from people before they become famous.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with buying the lesser-known brands; many of them offer remarkable features that make them worth considering.
There are few things for which I would always prefer to buy good brands like mobiles, shoes etc.
The famous brands are however very expensive because they had secured a market share on the market.
