Which is which, earning points or cash directly?

In most cases, most get paid to do sites GPTs, offer the earning through accumulation of points that are latter redeemed for cash. What do you prefer between earning cash to points?

Clearly cash, I'm much more motivated by seeing how much I'm earning than by seeing the points and having to deduce what I could possibly earn based on the points equivalent.

I really don't mind either as long as i get to cash out actually cash when its withdrawal time. Its fun to see progress even if it comes in the form of points.

It is the same thing to earn virtual currency and to earn forum points. There is absolutely no difference.
