For me l can say that the staking of crypto coins and earning interests in APY is more profitable compared to the savings done in fixed deposit bank accounts. That is because investing with potential crypto coin like the Bitcoin for instance, gives higher returns when the coin gains over time.

Although I do both, I never compare them. I've been staking ADA and Sol for a few years now. I bought ADA at an average price of around $0.2, and it's now at $0.88. Although the staking yield is small, my goal is to hold for the long term. So, it's more profitable to buy and stake when crypto prices are low. However, deposits generally depreciate in value due to inflation, so the interest yield is reduced by the inflation rate.
