Some of us have had to pickup some money habits from the people that we get to interact with regularly. Have you picked up any money habits from someone close that has affected your financial life positively? Which money habit is that?

I have come to realize that time is money so whatever I do must bring me profit, except of course if I want to rest. I save up just to invest as well. That was learned from my mom who never messed with time and her business.

used to get up before dawn and enjoy a cup of coffee and then I would meditate for about a hour. I would tell myself positive affirmations. For example, Id tell myself that today would be the best day of my career. My commute was partially by car and partly by helicopter. Id use that time to review my goals for the day. In the evening as I laid in bed I would tell myself that however the day was, that tomorrow would be a better day.

I didn't acquire such kind of habit from someone but from companies that invited me to attend their seminars in series on how to acquire wealth and build a passive income. It's where I got boldly financial literacy.

A friend once taught me to track every expense, no matter how small. At first, it felt like too much work, but after a few months, I could clearly see where my money was leaking. That simple habit helped me stop impulse buying and start budgeting properly.
