Which programming language is easiest for me to start learning?

I would love to start learning programming. I have been made to believe that programming is a very difficult thing to learn and master.

Among the programming languages available, which one can a complete tech novice like me start learning and won't be discouraged?

I think the best programming language to start learning is python. The syntax is quite relatable and easy.
