Which tech skill can someone learn by himself/herself?

When it comes to the best skills to acquire, tech skills are just the new cool. For some of us that can't afford to go to a tech institute, which tech skill can we easily learn by ourselves?

I mean a practical tech skill that one can use to earn money. Which one can can be self taught and what is the average duration to learn by self?

I believe any tech skil can be self taught at the beginner level, but if you plan on advancing, picking up a course or having someone teach you is the best option.

I think that with YouTube videos, you can actually learn graphics design. You can equally learn coding by yourself but you have to be highly motivated.

For some reasons, I have found learning programming by myself quite challenging. Do I need to have a prerequisite knowledge on something close to that before I can learn it successfully?
