I would disagree there. Intelligence is a big umbrella and lots of intelligence comes under it. But unfortunately, in a traditional set up, intelligence is measured only in terms of academic excellence or being smart at financial things or with numbers. But if we look into multiple intelligence theory by Gardener, inter personal communication is a type of intelligence. And people who are social and good at making friends are actually very high on their interpersonal communication intelligence.
Not sure maybe that is why they are smart maybe they spend a lot of time thinking or learning but not sure a lot of then are social but yeah some are very closed and it takes time to know them
It's seen that people who are intelligent and productive are good at observation. They prefer to watch people and observe them. They spend more energy into perceiving and thinking. Spend less energy on talking and socializing.
I don't think that they are like that, because they have many acquaintances and maybe they just don't consider many people as friends, but they are always sociable, so it seems that they have hundreds of friends
