Why are some fraudsters so overconfident?

Some online fraudsters are very overconfident that they can rob the savings of single professionals and investors. Is it because they have looted many people or is there any other reason?

A lot of online fraudsters act confident because the system often lets them get away with it. They recycle the same tricks, polish the stories, and target people who look busy or trusting. After scamming a few victims, confidence grows. It is not intelligence, just repetition and weak enforcement that makes them bold.

Some of them believe they can go away without being caught. And funny enough they do get away with almost all their criminal acts.

I agree that the online fraudsters are experts in manipulating the government system to get away with all their frauds, though the reputation of the country and the state is adversely affected due to the fraud.

They have probably cheated several people in the past, hence they are now feel they will always go scort free.

Frauds sometimes happen not because people are foolish, but because scammers exploit how people think, react, and cope under emotional stress
