Why do people feel insecure of spending their own money?

I spoke with a friend and he told me he felt guilty spending money in his account. This was his own money. But he was very reluctant to spend it.

What would make a person guilty of spending money he earned and worked for? Have you ever felt guilty of spending your own money?

Most persons might not want to spend their own money for various reasons, some it's just them being stingy, for others they know how hard it was for them to earn what they have so they would not want to spend it anyhow.

I will not feel guilty spending my own money. I worked hard and earned the money myself. Why should I feel guilty spending it? I may feel guilty if I have to spend the money of other people.

People who are low in income or people whose finances are not secured are very much worried about spending their money.

i don't think it is about feeling guilty but more like not wanting to spend as the money is small and would not be enough

I make more money than I need. My home and my vehicles are all paid for and I have zero debt, I have money in the bank. Believe me when I say that I do not feel at all gulity about spending money.

People are always scared of their money getting exhausted. That is why they feel scared of spending the money.

Some people are just misers so it is not about insecure but only about being greedy and miserly
