Why do people really spend their time to browse an e commerce site and end up not buying!

There are many people that would just come to an e commerce site and take their time to browse through products and description. They can spend up to 2 hours on the e commerce site but they won't make any purchases. What could be the possible reason for such behavior with no purchase on an e commerce site?

They do it for two purpose, one, to window shop, they find pleasure in browsing. Two, they check the product but don't buy when they find price or quality not matching their expectations

I sometimes browse the sites for checking out are there any new products being launched.

There are actually different reasons to this, like myself, i often do this just to know the price of things until am ready to buy, then there are times i just browse through to feed my eyes.

llaost people really like to do window shopping before they buy. Similarly, most online shoppers really like browsinbecause most of them does make impulse buying especially when they sea more appealing deals.

For some people, it could be the pricing of the products there while for some, it can be because the checkout is difficult.

Excessive Ads: Too many intrusive ads can be a turn-off for potential buyers.

Some people just go to a e-commerce site to find the prices of things for informational purposes sometimes. I do that a lot too.

well, you may find that they found your site by searching for the product or products that they needed and they landed on your site and a few others, Then you find that based on price and quality comparison they end up opting to buy elsewhere.

I do that as well. I like to spend time browsing e-commerce sites, but I don’t usually make a purchase right away. Instead, I add products to my cart that I’m interested in, and when I have extra money, I’ll buy them. Sometimes, just looking at the products brings me joy.
