Why do smartphones become slow after being used for sometime?

After a smartphone has been used for a few hours, it is becoming slow and some apps are closing automatically wasting time. Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

There are various reasons for this happening, it could be that the phone is already full hence it starts running slowly.

Uninstall those apps that are not in use. The apps get updated itself and therefore gets slow day by day.
