Why do some companies not provide customer support?

Some companies are simply just poor with customer support. And some might be plain arrogance because they have lots of customers. And some, don't even know how to solve the problem of the customer. So they just ignore.
 
For some companies, they might not have any reason behind this, they just have very poor customer support. While for some does who have been put in charge for this position simply are not doing their jobs.
 
I think either they don't have the money to pay a person to answer such questions or they have a very bad service and they don't want to read a lot of problems that they are not going to solve. In any case, I would not want to do deal with such companies
 
Some companies are refusing to reply to support tickets despite charging a very high amount. What is the reason for doing so, is it because the customer has powerful companies, officials who hate her?
I don't think there is a company without customer support though some will be very unprofessional in approaching and dealing with customers. Again, most of customer service providers use to receive thousands of queries daily and is not possible to answer all the queries.
