Why do we have business ethics?

That the business ethics are the commands that protect and govern the business and ensure smooth operation of the business. However nowadays we have most businesses that are not following the business protocols. What do you think?

Business ethics are supposed to be the principles and values that guide the responsible and fair behavior of a company. I understand that all companies unfortunately comply with this, but it is assumed that in general terms they are complied with.
