Why do websites like it when their users add avatars to their profiles.

I know that some sites that have people registered always want their members to have avatars. Some sites even have incentives for members that have avatars.

Why do you think sites are really particular about their members having avatars? How does members having avatars benefit the site?

It’s apart of your personality on the forum. It makes your profile unique and showcases who you are.

Some forums care, some do not.

I think it is also a sign that shows how humane you are, and also makes your profile unique, every forum or website have their reasons though.

I think having an avatar just gives you a identity on the site. And it shows you are an interested member of the site.
