Why do you deny smartphones apps to location data?

For a completely personal security issue, no application can have access to something private on your phone without your consent. This doesn't only happen with the location but also with the internal memory of the phone, contacts, some functions, etc. I think it also happens with the Internet. An application needs consent in all of this to be able to use it, but it is for this very reason, personal and private security of each user.
