Why do you think it's not advisable to use the public WiFi to perform online tasks?

For me l have heard from multiple times on earning sites that prohibit the usage of the public WiFi or internet sources to perform online tasks on their sites. I think that they don't like the idea of using the same up address for the same. What do you think?

Those wifi can easily be hacked because it is not secure, not to mention there are multiple people using it.
