Why does a phone storage being exhausted while still have space?

I had a phone some couple of years ago. The phone was really annoying because it used to tell that not enough space in your phone while when you look so closely you find like 2GB of storage space just lying idle over the phone. Has anyone here experienced the same thing ever?

I have not experienced it. Maybe your phone has a low memory. That's one factor why can't load more despite you see it space available. You could have upgraded your phone.

It is possible that there are some hidden files taking up space or maybe the chacha is full and needs to be deleted.

Yeah. that situation is very common on many old phones or those with low storage. You find that system files and apps take up more space than you think and the 2GB that appears free often cannot be used for updates or large apps because it has been reserved by the system. Many people have been stuck with that “not enough space” message even if there is a little left. The only way is to clear the cache or unused apps but it still remains very frustrating.
