Why does passport become invalid as id proof?

Officially the passport is the most valid id proof, since citizens undergo police verification multiple times. Yet after accepting passport as id proof for 3 years, Payoneer is suddenly rejecting the passport as id proof and asking for other id proof. What could be the reason for the rejection of passport and blocking of payment?

Sorry, I do not have any idea about that passport problem. It might be that the passport has already expired. There might be a valid reason o not accepting your passport as your ID.
