If you check the market cap of various assets and companies, you will see that gold is the world’s number one asset by market capitalization, followed by NVDIA at number 2 and Microsoft at number 3. Bitcoin at number 7, followed by silver at number eight. Gold has around an $23 trillion market cap. Gold has been the number one asset since hundreds of years, what might be the reasons behind this.

Gold has been number one asset because it is generally considered safe. It doesn't get volatile anyhow like other assets.
