Why is Word Press charging me?

I am having problem with a website creation. I want to create a new one so I can post my blogs, articles and poems there a requirement of Google so I can get back access to my Google AdSense.

When I decided to try Word Press and already started but the next days, I was told to pay after the one month free trial. I've learned that it's free but why they charged me?

Do you also pay charges to Word Press? I am now using Webly and 100 % free.

Wordpress as a blogging platform has charges if you want to use your own domain., Wordpress as a content management system is completely free but you still need a domain and hosting

That's right I was charged for the domain. I also found another website builder Webly. I like Webly. It's a friendly website.
