So many times, we use to hear that it is best to start a business small. They often say that if it is your first time in that business, you should start small and grow from there.

But I want to ask, supposing a person has sufficient capital to start a business big, should the person waste some years staying small? Is there any strategy that can help a business to start big while reducing the risks of startup?

It is better to start a small business despite the owner having a huge capital, however, some big-time businessmen started a business big. It depends on the decision of the person. In my case, I started wth a small business milk tea selling in the mall. I will open another branch next year.

Starting small is also a from of risk management in business. It's better to start small, this would help you learn and gain more experience before going big.
What about starting at a medium scale? Is it only a very small scale that would help you learn?

The most important factor to look into is if you can manage it. There are people who have started big and they are still able to learn from the business. So starting at a medium scale still also depends on you the business owner if you can manage the business of that scale while learning. The only major advantage of starting small is that in a situation where the business does not goes as planned it reduces how much you get to loose.

This type of thoughts remain present from individual to individual, as some people start driving with low price cars. When they become expert in it then they start driving luxurious cars. Same practice is adopted by one group of people as they start with very small business they get all required scratches and when they learned practical things then they start big business. Although they had the capital from day one.

In my opinion, it is better to start a small business because there is less risk of loss as you may have invested less capital in it. You may start 2-3 small businesses if you can afford them and let them grow, and there are possibilities that at least one of them will grow.
