Wildfire Erupts in Cleveland National Forest, Prompting Evacuations
A fast-moving vegetation fire,dubbed the "Holly Fire," broke out near Trabuco Canyon just after noon on December 26th. Driven by unexpectedly strong and dry offshore winds, it has burned 800 acres and is 0% contained. Mandatory evacuations are in effect for several canyon communities in Orange County. Air tankers and helicopters are making drops, but officials say terrain and winds are challenging. This out-of-season fire has authorities extremely concerned about the upcoming Santa Ana wind season
