Winnipeg cop charged with drug trafficking, distributing "intimate" photo of a dead woman

According to the report, Winnipeg Police Chief Gene Bowers, alongside Deputy Chief Cam Mackid, announced on Thursday that two of their own are facing significant criminal charges. Const. Elston Bostock, 48, was re-arrested on Wednesday and now faces 18 charges in connection with a string of incidents. The 22-year veteran of the police service is charged with a range of offences, including drug trafficking charges related to cocaine, amphetamine, psilocybin, MDMA, oxycodone, tramadol, and illicit cannabis. He also faces a charge of indignity to human remains, knowingly distributing an "intimate photo of a deceased female who was only partially clothed", breaking and entering to commit extortion, theft, six counts of breach of trust, and three counts of obstruction of justice, Mackid said. Also facing charges is Const. Vernon Strutinsky, 44, who police say was partnered with Bostock when they entered a residence without authorization to evict tenants, allegedly threatened tenants with arrest if they didn’t comply. He’s charged with breaking and entering to commit extortion and breach of trust. Strutinsky was released on an undertaking while Bostock remains in custody.

These cops are wasting the people's' money. They are paid from the people's taxes, but they are doing evils.

It is very disheartening and disturbing that Police force is a necessary evil that we can't do without. About 60% of crime committed in a society, police officers knows ans indirectly benefit from it. Secondly, about 50% killing is done by security forces and by proxy their guns or arm are used. When we talk about police and their crime, it will leave me drained to the core.!

What a shame to these two policemen. The other one served the police department for 22 years. He defamed the reputation of the honest and committed police officers. They deserved a death sentence.

Twenty two years of active service, and this is how it ended, in shame. It is well though. Serves them right.

The police might have done bad things in those previous years of his service to the police department. God does not sleep, sooner or later he will be caught, and indeed he was caught and jailed.
