It just happened, on my way home, I remembered I needed cash for shopping at a small shop etc, so I stopped at an ATM near a minimarket, the situation was quiet but there was a woman inside the ATM, so I had to wait for her to come out, she seemed confused but I had no intention of helping, until she opened the door and asked for help, that the money she withdrew around $ 150 did not come out, so I suggested checking the balance, and the balance was reduced, maybe the balance in the ATM box was empty, I said explaining and suggested that she go to the nearest bank office tomorrow morning. and I also decided not to withdraw cash from the ATM. Have you ever encountered an incident like this, and is it also common in your country for ATM boxes to be empty of money?

Yes, I experienced it and I was so scared. I withdrew $200 but no money came out from the ATM and when I did the balance check, my money was deducted with the said amount. I reported it to the guard on duty and he gave me a form to fill up and gave it to the bank teller. My money was returned. The bank failed to explain the reason.

This tends to happen from time to time over here, in most cases the money usually returns to back to your account within minutes, but in situations where it does not, it's best to report it to the bank.

It happens not all the time.but it does. What youbhave to do is report to the bank, tell them your situation. They will open a case for you and issue you witha case number. They will then use the information you provided to find evidence and if indeed it happens they will refund you your funds.

I have noticed that many people are facing this problem and complaining to the bank. I personally have not faced the problem, since I do not use an ATM card for cash withdrawal.
