Word of Mouth Marketing: How do you get the attention of a total stranger on the road to market your products to them?

It is not easy to approach a total stranger that is minding his or her own business to try and market your products to him or her. How can a business person get the attention of a stranger that is walking on the road to market a product to him or her?

Don't ever try to bombard a customer with your products. Just find a good point to start a conversation with the person and move from there to introduce your products.

I am not very excellent with approaching total strangers to market a product. I just try to approach them like I am trying to make friends with them.

You need to have communication skills to be able to use word of mouth method, this is one area am not very good at though.

You have to understand the psychology of communication to discern what to tell a particular customer at a particular point that you meet them.

It is difficult to approach a stranger and sell him/her your product. I think you have to hand out some freebies or trial sample of your product to get the stranger's attention. When s(he) is willing to stop and listen to you, you can take the chance to sell the benefits of your product.
