A caretaker was telling everyone that he wakes up at 6 am and goes outdoors for exercising, when actually he would almost never get up before 7 am in the morning? What was the reason why he was telling everyone that he exercises, when actually he does not, is it because it is fashionable to do so?

I think, it is not important for the people with a lie or not.It is the responsibility of the person himself lying. It might a fun and he is known as a funny person. It seems not important to me.
