At the age of 114, British-Indian Fauja Singh, who is believed to be the oldest marathon runner in the world, passed away after being struck by a car in India. Singh was struck by an unidentified car while he was crossing a road in the Punjabi village where he was born, according to the police. He was taken to the hospital by locals, where he passed away. An international legend, Singh broke records by running marathons at various ages, even beyond 100. He started running at the age of 89 and completed nine full marathons before retiring in 2013.
