Would you still hire this person?

Some weeks back, I desperately needed someone to employ. And this lady was referred to me. I reached out to her but she kept being elusive. It was as if I was almost going to beg her to come work for me. Even the person that referred her told me to forget about her. Few weeks later, she is calling me up and down that she wants to resume work with me. I still have a need for someone though but should I still hire her?

That time she might have important things to attend to and cannot express it to you, Try to give her a second chance. Observe her attitude. If she's okay after some days observation, then, build trust but if she's toxic and doesn't respect you fire her anytime without a pay.

The most important thing is if she is capable, if you haven't found someone else and you need the worker urgently, then you can hire her but let her know the job can be taken from her at anytime is she does not act well.

I won't hire such a person. Why couldn't she express her concerns? She is making her intended boss look like a fool? Bad signs.

I always like giving people benefit of doubt. I would still go ahead to hire him or her. Let her prove herself.

Honestly, sometimes its best to stay away from red flags. She has already displayed that you can relay on her, best you look for somebody else.

I do not like her attitude. I prefer to find someone else who is more reliable.

Since you still have a need you should employ her and maybe have a substitute somehow incase she misbehaves.

She might have had personal problems that made her not to resume when you were desperately calling her.
