I have seen many people for one reason or the other take extended breaks and cease operations in their businesses. They can close down the business for like a month or two.

By the time you go on an extended break from your business and you come back, it would be like you are just starting again because all the customers would have moved on and you would struggle to get them back again.

The business world is very competitive and if you make a mistake to be out of circulation as a business, you are replaced immediately. By the time you come back, all your customers have been taken. And the competitors that took them would do everything not to make them come back to you again.

I don't think an entrepreneur should abandon his or her business for a long duration. That is absurd and detrimental to the business. A seasoned entrepreneur knows that consistency is the soul of business. Without consistency, a business owner cannot retain customers.

It's advisable not to take extended breaks, particularly if you're a business owner. When you're absent for a long time, your customers may switch to a competitor and, if they're satisfied with the new provider, they might not return to you.
