Zaya Nurai Island, near Abu Dhabi, has really turned into a place where celebs love to hang out. If you ask me, what really makes it stand out is how private it is. I find it really cool that keeping things exclusive actually makes people want to go there even more. What I didn't expect was how close it is to the city – it feels like you're a million miles away, but you can get back to Abu Dhabi pretty easily.
To me, though, what's most important is that place is eco-friendly. With all the luxury, you'd think that they wouldn't really care about the environment, but they clearly do. They're doing a lot to be sustainable, which is awesome, especially when so many other places aren't.
Honestly, I think Zaya Nurai Island has raised the bar for super-fancy getaways. It's become the yardstick. It's not just about being fancy, it's about privacy, and doing things in a way that's respectful. Other resorts should take notice. It is a wonderful place to escape!
