According to the report, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday (August 18) after he met with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders that security guarantees for Kyiv will likely be "formalised on paper within the next week to 10 days".Trump told Zelenskiy on Monday that the United States would help guarantee Ukraine's security in any deal to end Russia's war there, though the extent of any assistance was not immediately clear.
Should praise Trump's efforts to end the war, though. His ways are not liked by most people, but his efforts are appreciable. Zelensky has no choice but to cede land to Russia. Particularly, the Donbas region and Crimea, as the EU can no longer support Ukraine in the war. So, 10 days from yesterday, the world will know if Zelensky signed the deal.
