There's a declaration of a national disaster in Zimbabwe over a drought which is caused by the climate event called El Niño.

At this moment the President if the nation , Emmerson Mnangagwa has said the country needs $2bn in aid to help millions of people who are going hungry. he had stated during a press conference thst no Zimbabwean must succumb or die from hunger due to the El Niño-induced drought.

Due to poor rains, about 2.7 million people will not have enough food to eat. The naturally occurring Niño climate pattern, increases global temperatures fuelling fires and heat across the world.

Imagine having to face this as well as the growing inflation, it would definitely not be easy this year for them.
That's right I imagine this one again in Nigeria, it would double disaster. Hopefully, we would have availablity of food even though at high prices

It will not be easy for a lot of African countries, this is because when more African countries are not food secure then there will be an imbalance in the flow of business. This is the same case with my country Zambia which also recorded the same result. The first of its kind in so many years where over 60 per cent of the rain belt zones and food basket regions recorded almost zero Turnage in the maize yield. This is why there is a call for more people to come on board and develop conventional methods on how to increase household income.

That is correct. Apart from drought and lack of food, there is another the problem they must face, and that is inflation. With rising prices on many essential goods, it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to afford basic needs. :(

Climate change is becoming a serious challenge globally. But one problem with African countries is that we don't take things serious until we are adversely affected. Zimbabwe would have done the needful before now b8u planting more trees, doing irrigation system etc

This is not funny at all for affected countries. it is like living a life of hell on Earth. Affording badic needs is just so difficult
