All of us have some painful experience of the past which is difficult to forget and keep coming back to our memories time and again how much ever we try to wipe it out of our mind it doesn't. I keep myself engaged the whole day yet these bad moments keep coming back to my mind. I meditate to keep myself calm yet such painful events start coming back to my memory. How do you handle such memories.

I have many painful memories that are hard to forget. However, I no longer dwell on some of them because I believe that doing so would only drain me and negatively impact my overall health and well-being. Instead, I focus my attention on reading self-help books, watching TV series, and so on. What works for me might not work for you. Just explore the activities that can help you move forward.

The bitter and painful past will be hard to forget, but we must try our best to forget it, by thinking positively or thinking more about tomorrow than yesterday, besides that we also have to accept the situation or be sincere so that it will reduce the burden on the mind.

Well, these bad memories are generated by past and concluded events, or by events that still have repercussions in our present. I've been told there are two different types of pain in this world: the kind that hurts and the kind that changes us. Now in your case would be necessary to examine the origin of your discomfort, assuming you'd like to share something personal here.

Nothing bad is occurring now. Everything thing is past. Now I have peace at least home. External disturbance is normal which no one can stop. I am benefiting a lot from meditation.

I understand, however my situation is different, in the sense that multiple negative events have occurred in my life that have led me to where I am now in a psychiatric rehabilitation community and if all goes well, maybe (and I really hope so) they might send me home in March of next year. You see, explaining everything here wouldn't be a problem for me, but it would become too long a post...
