This period there are usually different festivals, both locally and in a national level. The next street close to mine is having their own festival in a few days time, but I don't think I would be going through. Do you have a favorite festival or fair you attend this period?

It's festive time for Indians with "Durga Puja " going on. That's my favourite as I worship Goddess Durga with full faith.

I have decided to answer this as this birthday is memorable for a different reason. My birthday falls in the month of May and i dont usually get to celebrate it in school as it is summer holidays. But another advantage of this fact is that i get to have all my cousins for my birthday, both in town and the ones who are visiting from outside town. It is another thing that not all my cousins are fond of me. I was in 7th std during this birthday and all my cousins landed at my place with a greeting card. It did not have anything nice, but had something like monkey, donkey and other stupid endearments that suits kids of tht age.( high school cousins). We did not have fancy cakes available at those times(

Sounds really nice though, what's the festival like? Is it just simply worshipping the goddess or are there other events that takes place.

Lot of cultural events do take place. There's competition of who made the most beautiful idol. Different areas in my city exhibit different themes. That's the attraction. Even we have a fair.

Wow that sounds really fun though, and definitely there will be lots of food to eat if am not mistaken. Your country has always been good with food.

We also have Sinulog festival held in Cebu City in honor of St. Nino, Baby Jesus. It's a one week festival attended by millions from my country. There are also some foreigners who just come to Cebu just to witness the Sinulog festival.
