Do you buy what you like or that you can afford?

Most people including me found themselves in a situation whereby they can only buy what they can afford and never what they really like? What about you?

If I like it but I cannot afford it, I will pass on it and save money until I can afford it. Or I look for a similar item on sale.

My father told me that you must not have everything you desire. Sometimes, you need to caution yourself and live within your limit.
