According to reports, Northern Japan, particularly Hokkaido, is witnessing record-breaking snowfall. The main island has received four feet of snow, and more is falling. This extreme weather has disrupted traffic, resulting in delivery delays and airport closures. The Hokkaido prefectural government has received numerous requests for assistance from drivers whose vehicles have stuck in the snow. Obihiro had 129 centimeters of snow. The Japan Meteorological Agency said, two strong low-pressure systems are advancing on both sides of the Japanese archipelago, which is sending cold air into the area. Because of this, 370 schools in Hokkaido canceled classes and roads were closed on Tuesday.
 
Oh wow, i can imagine how cold that region would be right now with all the snow. It's good schools are closing so the people can remain at home safe.

Yes, it is indeed deadly. This can lead to accidents and health problems. Plus, planes are grounded then. Landing on the runway is impossible. And, yes, we only have sweats because of extreme heat. LOL

The schools did indeed close for the students' safety. It is dangerous for them to go to school at that time.

Indeed, it is. Snow can disrupt classes, travel, and other plans. Snowfall in Japan reached record levels. Climate change may be playing a role, I suppose.

We are still lucky because we can tolerate our sweltering climate. I never like a cold climate. When I toured in New Zealand, I was not happy, It was very cold.
