As America under Trump has outlawed abortion, Michigan Rep, Larie Pohtusky has announced that she is sterilizing herself so that she won't get pregnant for the four years that Trump would be in power.

That's because she won't be able to access health services for abortion.
 
That law could save many innocent fetuses to be aborted. Abortion in the USA before Trump's administration was rampant. Young and old are doing killing their own flesh. At least, the US government can save money and soul.

Why get pregnant if she wants an abortion. Abortion after all is very bad for health. There's lot of blood loss and the uterus wall gets perforated.
 
It is well, so she was planning to do abortion if ever she gets pregnant? Which means after Trump leaves the white House everything will go back to what it was.

Yeah right prevention is always better. So instead of getting pregnant when you don't need it , it is better to prevent such.
 
Abortion is not good and ethical in many ways. I don't support it. But there are cases where it stands out as the best decision in interest of the mother and the baby. Children with defects, or some teen pregnancy ( out of accident) or pregnancy out of rape are better to be aborted for the interest of the mother and the child. Sometimes pregnancy can put a women's life at risk. Putting a complete ban on it is violation of human rights. Trump should reconsider it.
But this lady's statement is also not justified. Why to get pregnant when you want abortion later??
 
Complete ban of abortion might be an impulsive decision that has overlooked so many aspects. While abortion becoming rampant to get rid of unwanted pregnancy is not right, banning it completely is also insane. Many situations justify an abortion. An amendment in the law considering certain conditions would be a good way.

What is that process? I have never heard of evacuation in case of pregnancy or unwanted pregnancy. Can you explain it?

it is same way of getting rid of a pregnancy but I think it is mostly used when one has a miscarriage but it is the same process of abortion to me

Oh! I see. Anyways if there is a miscarriage, they will have no other option but to go for abortion. Actually the pregnancy does not survive after a miscarriage. Doctors have to do the total cleaning with Dilation and Curation ( D&,C). I think that is what you mean by evacuation. Thanks for explaining.
