Weddings are more or less once in a lifetime celebrations. And there is no way that you would hold a wedding that you would not spend money. There are different aspects of the wedding that requires you to spend money.

Which aspect of the wedding gulps the most money?

The biggest expense in every event is having to give the attendees something to eat and drink. That alone might take 40% to 50% of the entire wedding budget.

Let alone the basic preparations like the wedding gown for the bride and groom. The next expensive parts are the food preparation catering fees inclusive of drinks, the church fees and the rides for everyone those who don't have a car.

In India if it's a daughter's wedding the most amount goes to purchase of ornaments that has to be given to the bride by her parents.

Venue and Catering. The venue and catering are often the biggest expenses in a wedding budget. you need to get this out of the way
Venue is quite cheap for people that want to cut their coat. You can use your religious worship place for cheap or even free.
