There are unusual ways to earn money, such as typing through different online platforms. However, while these methods won't replace a full-time job or make you wealthy, they can be a good source of extra income.
I know the sites. You can also rent a girfriend to get the girlfriend experience. But i hear these sites are making a killing because there are a lot of lonely people who actually pay for the services. But the ways you mentioned is not unusual. There are many ways that are quite weird. There is site where you will rent a friend. I think that is very absurd and very unlikely.
Yes, it's very popular in the US and some western countries. Thrift stores are very popular there. In India, we used to have practice of exchanging old clothes for new vessels. I remember my mom and grandma doing that. They will weigh the clothes and deduct some money from the price. Also, if it was good clothes in good condition, you could get a good utensils or vessels for free. That's an indirect way of earning money. There are set ups that accept old clothes and refurbish them and sell them as good as new Both those who sell their used clothes and the set ups make money
We have done that back home but here where I live I hardly see anyone wanting old clothes in exchange for vessels. I don't see those practices continuing any more even in the remote villages. At least we don't see much of it, might be very few still doing that. I recently watched a documentary on some news channel that talked by hair smuggling to China. They showed that people in rural areas of India are cutting hair and giving it to some vendors who either pay cash or some goods like utensils or bedsheets etc. that is also an unusual way of earning money, at least I was not aware of it.We have done that back home but here where I live I hardly see anyone wanting old clothes in exchange for vessels.
