Buy when season ends. When winter is almost end, you buy winter clothes for next season. You can get big discounts since most stores want get rid of winter clothes and find place for summer. Do same at end of summer.

I just get the cheap clothing but not cheap-cheap. I spent $35 NZD on a pair of pants this week for example. That is about how much I would spend on one piece of clothing though. I see a lot of stores trying to sell clothing for upwards of $100 NZD

Good idea, since i don't want to spend money for everything that i can do it by my self, i don't like to spend money for laundry washings, i wash my cloth in my home by my self. that will save me little money.
Sure that's the way to go. You save your money by washing yourself
Yeah i can use the money i saved from those activities for other important things, if i can do the things i really do them.

Some of my clothes that I been bought since on a year 2018 am still maintaining them till now, instead of wasting money for clothing I either prefer saved the money for another purpose.
Wow you must be lucky to keep your cloth this long, in my country the quality of the close is very poor and it will get damaged with short period of time and it don't last long, some times the detergent damage the cloth and that is bad for us.

I have never given my clothes to dry cleaners before, I always wash my cloths myself.
When you don't handle your clothes well, you would very likely need to replace it soon enough. And clothes are basics. Needing to replace it every now and then costs money and affects finances
I always wash my clothes at home with my washing machine, except for items like blankets and expensive coats. I also buy clothes off season. I buy summer clothes in winter, winter clothes in summer. The stores usually offer big discounts for offseason clothes.

We have a laundry lady we paid welly at $75 twice a week washing. We do not have time to wash our clothes at home. We all have work and business.
For me l usually spend so little in the purchasing of the clothing for that reason. The second hand clothing is very appropriately for me.

I wear clothes until it starts tearing. That's how I save money on clothes. I also repurpose my clothes.
People who work in laundry make so much money from them because there are people who work all day and do not have time to wash their clothes. So they take all to the laundry services. But personally I do all my laundry myself to save cost..
You can use cold water starch to keep your clothes looking fresh for some longer time without having to buy new ones.

I personally hand wash my clothes since I do not have a washing machine in my apartment. I only visit the laundromat when I need to wash my bedding. Also, I have stopped buying new clothes.
