Report online has it that an Ekiti State High Court, Ado Ekiti Division, on Monday sentenced a 25-year-old man, Gabriel Emmanuel, to life imprisonment for kidnapping a monarch, Oba Adeniran Benjamin Omotayo, the Eleda of Eda-Ile in Ekiti East Local Government Area of the state.


Emmanuel, who was arraigned on March 8, 2023, on a three-count charge bordering on murder, kidnapping, and demanding property with menace with intent to steal, committed the offences in 2020 and 2021.

Indeed annoying, he's jailed because of his greed. He should have not murdered the monarch, he could have less sentence to serve his crime. Crimes soar like that anywhere in the world.

Yes, Good he was caught and he is going to pay dearly for such a crime. I wonder what is always their thought before even committing the crime

That criminal was not in his right mind, he might have taken drugs. There's no sane individual to commit such a heinous crime ay his young age. His parents are to blame too.

Most times this is what happens. They don't commit this crime with clear hears. They get high on substances to be able to carry out the act.

I believe it is the reason why commit a crime. A criminal not in his right thinking. No sane individual could do it. Crimes soar anywhere in the world.

That's sad when I visited in New Zealand, I learned that most people there do not have God and religion. My ex new Zealander bf, ( RIP) didn't have religion. But he believed in God's existence. His good deeds as basis for salvation may have brought him to eternal peace and paradise. 🙏.
 
Kidnapping a monarch is a huge crime that cannot be pardoned even sentencing a criminal with life imprisonment. I should be death sentence for the criminal to feel the scare of his action ending a life in a barbaric and brutal ways,

To kidnap a monarch is a bold move and deserves his sentence. And this happened in region that hold their leaders in high esteem

Yeah that's right. They will all pay for it. They did the crime so they would do the time. Since they were fearless
